Tuna Paste Recipe

tuna pasteI promised you some tuna recipes few days ago, and I didn’t forget about it. I just didn’t have time to write, I had a lot of work to do, so I couldn’t dedicate my whole self to writing. But, here is something you should definitely try. It is very light, very nutritive and very, very yummy :-) You can eat it for breakfast or for dinner, even for your snack. I often make larger portion which I then divide into several smaller portions. Though, I do not keep it in the fridge more than 2-3 days.

Here’s what you need for it:

  • a can of tuna fish (I do not use the oil to save calories, and because there is oil in the recipe itself, so…);
  • about 10 black olives;
  • a clove of garlic;
  • and spices : rosemary, basil, oregano… actually, whatever is your favorite, you can add in this paste;
  • lemon juice, freshly squeezed;
  • a spoon or two of mustard; and
  • a spoon of olive oil, extra virgin.

Put all the ingredients in blender and mix it until smooth. Then, put it in the fridge for few minutes to cool, but you can eat it immediately if you like.

My advice is to eat it for breakfast as a paste. I eat it with integral buns and I usually drink lemonade with it. It gives me enough energy, it is flavorsome and above all- it is easy-prepared, light and healthy meal. Hope you’ll try it!
